Dr Farahani received his 3 year orthodontic speciality training at Cardiff University. This led to the award of Master of Science (MScD) degree in orthodontics as well as the specialist membership diploma of MOrth RCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a proud alumnus of the University of Southern California (USC), where he received further training in the fields of Craniofacial Orthodontics and graduated the Craniofacial and Special Care Orthodontic fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA); At CHLA he trained to treat patients with severe craniofacial deformities requiring combined orthodontic and surgical treatment.

Additionally, he recently graduated the Master of Surgery (Minimally-Invasive Aesthetics) degree at the University College London (UCL). Here is a copy of his published thesis.

Dr Farahani has served as an academic at the University of Birmingham and the University of Warwick. He has published more than 73 peer-reviewed publications and 3 book chapters. He acts as a reviewer as well as on the editorial board for a few orthodontic and dental journals. He has an interest in Implantology and attended the USC School of Dentistry, where he received his Certificate in Implantology.

He was granted Research Scholarship from the European Orthodontic Society and Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. His research works have been nominated for the William JB Houston Research Award on two occasions (2009 and 2010).

Dr Farahani’s expertise lies in the orthodontic treatment of children and adults as well as providing cosmetic orthodontic treatment to ensure his patients can start smiling with confidence again. He offers complex restorative-orthodontic treatment for patients who present with multiple missing teeth as well as treating patients with dentofacial deformities requiring surgical orthodontics.
